“My art is a love letter to the world and I want my work to be an experience of connection. It is my invitation to see and appreciate the presence of beauty that can be found everywhere.”
Beauty Is Surprising
And it’s not always pretty. It can jump out at me at the most unexpected moments. That is when I need to pick up my paint brush and try to capture what I see. Often it is peeping at me through the most common things: cactus paddles, water reeds, sunset colors on water. Even pond scum!
I have the opportunity to paint two very different locations, northern Minnesota and southern Arizona. The colors and landscapes couldn’t be more different although people are interesting everywhere. But my desire to share it all in paint is boundary free. Lucky me!
