Many Reflections,
One Nature
These paintings are an exploration of the northern Minnesota landscape, although they can also easily represent the larger Great Lakes region where I grew up. I am fascinated by the way light and water play together, and the rich shift in colors found in sun and shade. Capturing reflections can happen representationally, as I have done in Evening Reflections. But the fun of experimentation in a looser, more abstract style, with other subjects, also can result in an interesting reflective experience. I hope you enjoy the results!
